How we came to be together and why we remain together

Successful relationships are built on a history of happy experiences together. These shared happy experiences are a buffer when harsh experiences occur, as they inevitably do in any long term relationship.

From the outset, Cherriee and I have shared many happy and enjoyable experiences that have built the bedrock of the foundation of our relationship.

These have ranged from driving to Sydney together one Friday night in early December 2001 to attend the Homebake Music Festival at The Domain (Cherriee wore Fairy Wings & a Tiara; I wore flashing Devil Horns) and then driving back to the Gold Coast on the Sunday after breakfast at Darling Harbour; to enjoying a long weekend cruising around the Whitsunday Islands on a 45 ft Riviera Luxury Boat in September 2008.

Along the way, we have been to Airlie Beach to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef & skydive over the Whitsundays; to the Snowy Mountains to ski; to the Northern Territory where we fed crocodiles and toured Katherine Gorge; where Cherriee drove our hire vehicle in excess of 170 kms/hr on the "No Speed Limit Roads", to several Big Days Out on the Gold Coast where we have seen artists such as Metallica & Rage Against The Machine; many other concerts, including P!nk, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Tea Party; as well as numerous trips to Sydney and Melbourne, and, of course, to our most favourite place of all: YAMBA. All of these trips have been documented with photographic memories.

Included in the plethora of photographs which document our life together are many photos of our little boy, Benson, the Himalayan Persian cat, without whose presence in our lives, our relationship would be somewhat diminished.

We share some of those experiences in our Gallery.

Now, it is time for us to move on to the next phase of our lives together, Marriage, and we invite you to share the journey to the altar with us.
